Our Pack Confidence Course focuses on the use of our most important piece of equipment. Working in our "Hog Wall" prop, participants will gain a better understanding of the proper techniques for overcoming and clearing obstacles. Participants will also work to become more proficient in communications, donning and doffing facepieces, procedures for forcing doors and making entry into the IDLH. Included with this course is UFT firefighter down CPR. Our method of teaching this valuable skill is different then any other. It will not be easily forgotten and may save the life of your brother or sister! Pack Confidence is our foundational offering. All other IN THE PROP offerings are built off the skills covered in this course.
Aggressively searching a building and making rescues are vital firefighting skills. Communications, coordination, speed and teamwork are critical for mission success. IN THE PROP firefighters will work at building good search techniques and transitioning to "make the Grab!" Firefighters will learn to use commonly carried tools to aid in the search and rescue process. Guided by our instructors you will practice strategies and tactics essential to completing the mission. Participants will continue to practice and build on skills learned in previous sessions.
Our mission is saving lives! When we aggressively attack fires and search buildings sometimes things go badly. Medical emergencies, equipment failures or entrapment are real concerns for every firefighter. Are you prepared to deal with your emergency? Have you practiced calling a MAYDAY? Do you have a plan for clearing equipment malfunctions? Have you worked with your buddy breathing system? The time to prepare is now! In this session participants will cover pack conversions, calling a MAYDAY, extricating down firefighters and problem solving techniques.
Our hose confidence course has participants working to become more confident and efficient during "The Stretch". The "Hog Wall" prop is configured for long stretches with multiple pinch points. Starting at the Force Door, firefighters must mask up, make entry, manage pinch points and efficiently advance on the target area. In addition they must mange their tools, conduct searches and deal with potential casualties.
Our combined operations course throws it all at the participants. The "Hog Wall" Prop is configured into a floor plan complete with furniture. Firefighters will employ all previously covered skills to mask up, force entry, search, rescue, make the stretch and deal with casualties.
During our TIC operations course firefighters will work to become more comfortable with the use of Thermal Imaging Cameras. Participants will form a better understanding of the operation of the TIC and what they should be looking for during short burst practical scenarios.
Our Vent, Enter, Isolate, Search(VEIS) course focuses on skills for successfully searching survivable spaces during a building fire. Your members will work to become more proficient at making entry and rescuing casualties. The "Hog Wall" prop is configured to create multiple access points that must be searched.
Basic RIC(RIT) Operations is intended to familiarize your members with the use of a RIC Bag, commonly used tools in a cache, packaging a down firefighter and extricating them from a building. The "Hog Wall" prop will be configured in a manner that restricts movement and forces your members to work as a team to accomplish the objectives.
IT All STARTS AT THE DOOR! Every time your members are working in our "Hog Wall" prop there will be a door to force. Our portable force door has both a inward and outward swinging configuration. It can also be used as a stand alone component at your aquired structure or drill yard.
